Welcome In his "Rule for Monks", St. Benedict stated that the monks were to work for their living "by their own hands", and thus not to beg for their livelihood from others. Hence all Benedictine and Cistercian monasteries support themselves by labor in its many manifestations. Up until modern times, the chief means of support was agriculture, but in our days, many other legitimate forms of labor have been used, i.e.,cheese making, art, printing, stained glass, and now more than ever before, retail stores for selling one's own products, and/or those obtained elsewhere. This E-Store is one of those ways. The Abbey Store is a quality religious goods and bookstore that is dedicated to excellence. Fine art reproductions, imported and domestic hand-painted statuary, 14k gold and sterling silver items represent our commitment to excellence in selection, as we provide one of the largest inventories in the southeast United States. Excellence in value is another hallmark of the store as we offer very competitive prices and quantity discounts on our wide variety of gift items from holy medals and rosaries to Christian music CDs, audio cassettes, software, and videos. Our book department is considered one of the most complete and up to date, providing the most requested Bibles, classics, monastic books, books on prayer, spirituality, saints, healing, and the latest best sellers. We also have a variety of books authored by some of our own monks. Please enjoy your visit to our online store, and be sure to visit us in person if your travels bring you to the Atlanta area (see below for directions).
